Street Glide w/sidecar
Has anyone done a Harley sidecar on a Street Glide? Did you have any problems with the set up?
All of the Electra Glide tourers share the same chassis. The difference between the bikes is the trim level.
The Street Glide is just a chromed out Standard without all the Bling of an Ultra.
Sidecar mounting is the same.

What about the bike being lowered?
I've had an RK with 1 1/2 lowered rear end and a hack. They are adjustable.

I had my Ultra lowered about 3/4" in the rear. With the sidecar mounted, I haven't noticed any boogies.

The dealer says they have to put the standard length shocks on the rear to get the adjustments that they need.
Whatever it takes!!!!!!!!!!

Harley dealers have little experience with sidecars so they need to go by whatever theiir book says.

And by all means if 'the book ' said it is HAS to be right. LOL
I got the bike back yesterday. It rides 100x better. They gave me the stock lowered shocks also. I may try to put them back on at a later date. If I do whats the best way to check the toe?
Long straightedge raised about 4" placed tightly against the rear bike wheel. Another similar setup against the sidecar wheel.
Measure the separation difference in front of the front wheel and in back of the rear wheel. The difference is your toe-in (or out).
