I interested in purchasing a Velorex sidecar and mounting it on my 99 Valkyrie Interstate. Has anyone done this and what kind of problems can I expect. The mounting instructions for the Model 562 does not look much like the Valk. All info.would be appreciated.

The 562 at 154# isn't a good match for the 800#+ Valkyrie. The URAL Classic would be a better fit at 230#.

I'm trying to keep my weight down because I also tow a 300# Bunkhouse tent camper. The camper weighs 300# empty, when I include our camping gear I'm probably pushing 500#!!! The camper has it's own brake system.
The side car is actually for our four legged family members...a Boston Terrier and a Jack Russell Terrier who love traveling with us. I'd rather install a side car than leave them in a boarding kennel.

Thanks for the reply,
Hawksheart

i have to agree with hack'n, even with towing a trailer that size,
you bike would crush the little sidecar.

I agree with those who say not to use a Velorex, unless you do the leaner modifications that Vince did. And don't worry about the trailer. I have a Dnepr sidecar on my 99 Standard and pull a cargo trailer. Go to . What you don't see is my daughter, taking the picture. She was a passenger on the Valkyrie on this trip with her three children in the sidecar.
The only trouble you would have with a Dnepr or Ural sidecar is that you might want to put a smaller rim on the sidecar to allow it to sit level. I used a front rim from a Suzuki 400.
