Here’s a way to remove bed liner from metal surfaces once the bed liner has dried.

(If it’s wet, like splatters, I’ve had good luck with plain old acetone.)

Slather on Citristrip. Thick,  I mean like frosting on a six year old’s birthday cake thick.

Wrap the piece with some kind of plastic wrap.

I used a thin plastic drop cloth.  It needs to be thin enough that it wraps the area tightly, sticking to the Citristrip with few air gaps.

Wait 24 hours and wipe off.

Reapply to stubborn parts and parts that didn’t stay sealed.

My buddy and I did that to his son’s CB650 redo – worked great.

Also works on paint.

My old front bumper was chrome the PO painted red.

This came up because the sidecar I posted the other day in Hacks for Sale from Around the Internet

was painted with plasti-dip and I was wondering if this would work for that.

Anyone got anything plasti-dipped they would be willing to try it on?
