I've been scratching my head about this sidecar....I posted earlier about drilling to move the posts that the tonneau attaches to, but as I look closer I are getting confused (not an uncommon scenario for me of course). Could someone who has a spare moment get a quick measurement on a 562?
I've added two pictures, one is the measurement from front to back of the "cockpit" with the seat removed. Bad focus, but it is around 29 3/4".
The other is the dimension post to post on the sides. The front of the tape is hooked onto the other post, so you're looking at 23 1/2-5/8" center to center.
I hope I'm not driving you folks nuts with this, I'm just trying to get my data straight before I decide my next move.

I have a Velorex 562 and will look at mine tonight.
I know I have holes, with grommets, up front and the post to which you refer at the rear of the cockpit but will take measurements this evening.

Ah, thanks so much! I may have sort of figured out what I'm dealing with here. I think just the post to post measurement would be nice, just as a reference. It was pointed out to me that obviously it's not some different molds (or whatever) down at Velorex, so certainly that front to back should be the same. I guess somewhere in the back of my mind I wondered "is there some other model that I don't know about". But that thought has been banished.
I DO think I figured out the deal with mine. The main difference with the MZ 562 (the 94-96 ones that came factory attached to some Silver Star and Saxon models) and the regular 562 is the big fiberglas fender. If my front posts are in the right spot, which they appear to be, based on the tonneau I purchased, the rear posts should be about 2 inches forward of where they are. The big clunky fender is exactly in the way of that happening! I think they may have arbitrarily moved the rear posts back and supplied their own modified tonneau. After switching the snaps on the tonneau to male snaps (this car has female snaps, unlike most), it became more clear. I ended up using 2 carabiners of an appropriate size for the back two grommets and they hook nicely over the posts!
As for the rain cover, the cute lil convertible top, the same game may work, although my windshield isn't tall enough. Probably a common issue, I've seen numerous posts on this site regarding different windshields, so I'll begin investigating.

I have an '09 562 Velorex and the posts are 22" center to center.

My 2012 posts are 22 1/2" edge to edge so say 22" center to center. I have a 563, I think it's the same tub just a beefier frame.
The 2004 and later 562 Cruisers and 563 Tours Share the same bodies and suspensions. Frames and fenders are different.
