Currently im pulling my terraplane with a 1980 honda 750 f, and was thinking about getting something newer and with a little more power. It would have to look good with the TP ,not cost an arm and a leg, and not require an engenering degree to mount. If any one has an idea PLEASE let me know. thanks

Welcome, toothwater: There are folks here who know way more than me, but I've "heard" that the Suzuki 1200 Bandits make a mighty good tug.

A lot of professional installers will tell you the GL1100 is the perfect sidecar bike. Easy to access the frame, so you don't need an expensive subframe. Tons of power and torque when compared to other 1100 and 1200cc bikes, and a rock solid million mile engine. On top of that, you can find them in near showroom condition for under $3,000.

Change the timing belts every 50,000 miles and it will run forever.

Or I can sell you a nice Fuel injected 1100cc Moto Guzzi for $4,000. It also has an easily accessable frame and lots of power.

Check out some Gold Wing options in my new album "Early GL rigs" There's a couple of Terraplanes there.
