MMD reverse gear for 5 speed
I don't know where that fallacy comes from, I'm British and I have never drank warm beer in my life. Lol.
It's the Norskies who drink the warm beer with cold spuds. A former boss used to brag about "Breakfast in Nesheim".
Any college student can tell you that beer is a good breakfast drink -- it was for me back inth the late 60's

Well, I don't know where it came from either, but it's a very common belief. I do have to say, though that I was at Heathrow Airport in London many years ago and I saw a man with a glass of warm beer in front of him. I could tell that it was warm, since there was no foam.
It may not be definitive on the issue of how Brits dtink their beer, however, since his head was in his lap, so he may have been there for a while.
I'm British myself, 6 generations removed but I don't talk about it much since there's still a lot of enmity about the American Revolution and Britain's failed attempt at a second bite at the apple in 1812. LOL.
Yea, we were fighting a small bloke called Napoleon at the time, a little bit more important than regaining an 'uppity' Colony, lol.
My understanding is that Lucas is an old english word meaning darkness
Well finally got the bike running and moving again. The MMD reverse gear was a dream to fit, would have only taken a few hours if I had all the correct tools at hand, as it was did I it whilst fitting all the extra equipment required to enable my Road King to take a sidecar. I kept looking for people on other Harley's to see a working model but all the ones I found were incomplete. I was amazed at the vehicles with either the wrong fitments for their model of bike or bikes not converted to the official HD set up to take a sidecar (especially the rear brake setup).
Just need to complete a few little jobs then road test it and adjust as required, the reverse gear is great and makes maneuvering the vehicle so easy.
