I just sold my Heritage Classic with a Ride by Side and picked up a Road Glide with a Liberty. Awesome combination, the ride is unbelievable, no problems anywhere but rear braking. My old sidecar did not have a disc brake like the Liberty. I am getting a strong pull to the right when applying the rear brakes. Can I make any adjustments to the sidecar brake to be not as aggressive or is this something I'm going to have to live with and counter steer. Worst case scenario is disconnecting the sidecar brake and running without it. Right now it freaks me out.

Looking for some answers or a fix from the wise ones out there, I have only been riding sidecar bikes for a couple of years.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Scott

You should be able to install a proportioning valve to divy up baking between the hack and rear bike wheel.

A proportioning valve in the system can help somewhat. Even with one it's hard to get straight line stopping in all driving conditions and sidecar loadings.
I opt to use just the front (2) discs on my StreetGlide/Liberty rig. I can use all brakes in an emergency stop if needed, even if the rig ends up sideways (instead of over the cliff).
My front brakes serve very well for normal stopping and front pucks are much easier to change than the rear ones.
