I am putting together a Triumph Rocket with Champion Excort.

Question is, do I go for the Leading Link or should I go for the triple trees? I am thinking if I go for the triple trees and don't like them, I can always upgrade.

You'll like the reduced trail and they are much less expensive than LL's. And you keep the original appearance of the bike.

What about the use of a car tire with the LL's vs bike tire with the triple trees. Always a trade off...

The rocket 3 has such a good front end that I would go with the tree's which we do offer. We will need to know if it is the rocket 3 or the rocket 3 touring as they have different front ends. We are developing the tree's right now for the touring while we have had the standard rocket 3 tree's for years. I would go with a car tire on the rear of the bike as it will fit on the stock rear wheel. Not a big fan on car tires on the front as you usually end up going with a wider tire which while handing twisty roads well is not so much fun out on the highway and can really be a hand full in the rain or worse yet snow. We also make mounts for the rocket 3 that will work with the Escort sidecar.

I put triple trees on my Goldwing/Oxford outfit and have no regrets. The improvement was amazing.

Jay,

I am trying to finalized a deal on a 2010 Rocket Roadster, do you have triple trees for they year and model? Also, is there a choice of degrees and what is the resulting trail?? I am reading about, is it like, 5 or 7 degree, etc. etc. what is the difference?

Thanks !

Not sure what degree we ended up with, degree really does not matter, final trail matters, we usually try for around 2 inches when designing tree's, not always possible to end up there as there are many things that work into how much angle you move the forks, some times we also change the off set making degree's totally irrelevant.
We have the tree's for the standard rocket 3 with inverted forks, we soon will have them for the rocket 3 tourer
