How does this Harley sub-frame look?
Fabricater built this I am hoping the 2 bottom I-bolts being on the same plane won't be a problem. We did the bolts on the same level to leave for adjustment of the sidecar.
It looks GREAT!!...cudos to your fab-man...looks like he really knows his stuff. Ed.

Looks good! Looks like you used soem Motorvation frame clamps? Good hardware.
The two bottom mounts being on the same plane is a plus and NOT a minus. The more they are off from being the same distance from the center of th ebike and the same distance fromt the ground the more th etoe in can change when lean out is adjusted.
If you have some type of tilt adjustor planned you willl be in great shape. No huge issue without one but what happens is due to the lower mounts being quite a way away fromt the bike when lean out is set that side of the sidecar will rise more. With a tilt adjustor, either manual or electric on the sidecar suspenaion you can easily compensate for this to get the sidecar frame back up to level. Otherwise as you lean the bike out after initial setup the bike side of the sidecar frame will get higher. This in turn can tilt the sidecar wheel away from the bike at th etop which can, if it is drastic enough, negate what was trying to be dome by adding more lean out. I don't intend to overstate this as it may not be a big deal at all but it is something to think about.
Good job though...Looks VERY GOOD.

Wow! That is probably the ultimate definition of a subframe. With your permission, I'm going to save that photo, just for all the times somebody asks, "What's a subframe and how do I make one?
Very straight forward and looks like it will do a great job for you. Please give us the name of your fabricater if he's willing to do these for other bikes.
That's the nicest subframe I've seen. With that subframe, you should nave no alignment or adjustment problems that can't be taken care of.
Very nice!
As usual, Lonnie is correct, it's a Dyna....
It's an FXD.

One other observation is that the upper mouts have heim ends in them as well as the lower ones. It will be critical that very good triangulation be built in if all mouts will be via heim ends. I not the mouts will move. Typically heims are used on the lower mouts by some today but the top mouts are eyenuts and clevises or eyenuts alone.
Not being negative just pointing out soem things to think on. Please don't take me wrong here:-)

Being that one top and one bottom are empty, maybe it got put in the top mount by accident. :0)
Yeah could be Mike. I had seen someone try heims all around before though so thought it was worth bringing up.
Lets go fishing:-)
some excellent enginnering and work
