Hinkley Triumph Questions
Ok, college student with limited means. Don't want another car, inherited my fathers '05 Triumph T100 which is in lovely condition.
I'd like to add a sidecar, which would include winter riding.
I figure I have two basic options within my price range which is about $2500.
I looked into Velorex 562s and I ask "will it bolt up to the T100 with the equipment it comes with?" and I get back the response "The Velo is excellent for the T100" which doesn't answer my question. If I spend $2400 on a new Velorex I need to know if it will actually bolt right up, because I can't afford it if I'd have to buy extra parts.
The other option is to get a frame and add a chair to it later, ballast I know I'll need, but if I just got a frame then I could afford a subframe or what ever else I might need. I know that Dauntless lists all of these things which would bring me in under budget, but there would be no chair.
I've looked into used sidecars, but unlike with bikes, I don't know what I'm doing and I don't want to buy something unseen and be utterly lost.
If anyone could tell me if a Velorex with its universal kit actually will bolt up to the new Bonnies, that'd be wonderful.
If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm happy to hear them.
You can use the OEM Velorex mounting set.
Look at my latest Album: '09 Hack Pix. There are two Triumphs with 563T sidecars mounted (same mounts as the 562C). The Black one is a 2009 the Red is a 2004 model.

Thanks Hack'n, that puts my mind at ease with the Velorex!
Edit:
What would be your suggestion for ballast with this setup?
Would you suggest setting up the sidecar brake to be useable, and if so... how?
Thanks again, now I just have to find the funding - which was supposed to be here a week ago!
