I just got my new Liberty sidecar ready to roll except for the paint, but would like to put my lower fairing back on. My bike is a 2005 Electra Glide Classic but with vented lower fairings off the Ultra Classic. Has anyone modified the OEM right lower fairing to fit around the liberty upper and lower front mounting bars? I know Harley has a right side fairing for FLHTs with their sidecar but I am thinking maybe someone has modified the stock one. Also, does anyone have experience with the Bank Angle Sensor Switch Kit. Harley calls for this kit to be added to the 1999-2005 Touring bike when adding a sidecar? There is no mention of it in the Liberty instructions.

I have a HD side car that will be on my 2002 ultra this week. I have all he mounts put on and do not see good way to modify the stock one. If I do not find a use HD sidecar right lower fairing of any color I will order one new the color of my bike. My sidecar and motorcycle are two different colors but the colors they are do not look bad. If I find a good used HD sidecar lower fairing of any color I will put it on and call it the rig of many colors. LOL

I don't use the Bank angle sensor. Had two factory rigs tat had them but had many more after market rigs without. haven't capsized a rig so I don't know what good they are except for a product liability tort clain defense from the Motor company.

My 2002 Ultra does not take one you program it for a sidecar by using the turn signal buttons. Last year HD claimed you did not need it. all so the last year of the good Timken bearings on the primary side stock.

My right side adjustable lower is just a shell. The vent is still adjustable and the cover snaps on but there is no longer a cubby hole.

Is it a HD sidecar lower or something you modified?

I am guessing that is just the lower faring and not the cap? The lower faring and cap they list in the parts book with out vent painted my color with stripes is around $435 from LSHD that is with their discount. If I end up getting the one that matches my left one I hope to get some max vents to put in mine.
Thanks
Jeff

Looking at my 2002 lower faring which is different from the later models I do not see a good way to do in with out cutting most of the faring away then would not do much good in bad weather.

After putting on all my mounts I did cut it at the bottom to use when a solo. I have a feeling once I go sidecar and use to it I will never go back solo.
