Flasher
I have a Yamaha 2002 Midnight Star, 1300. After installing my hack, I find I do not have 4 way flashers because of the amount of voltage on the switch. It is a four pin and only big enough to handle one turn signal at a time. Has anybody got an idea how to increase the size, make the 4 ways work or just a great idea to make this happen. I can find plenty of 2 pins, just not 4 pins. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Can you change the lamps to LED's?
They take a lot less power to operate.

Disable the turn signals on the bike, Make sure that the front turn signal on the sidecar is tied to one of the turn signals on the bike and that the rear turn signal is tied to the other. On some bikes mainly BMW's you must make sure that the turn signals on the sidecar draw the same current, we will often simply use the bulb removed from the bike in the sidecar. LED will not draw enough current for a standard flasher to flash unless you leave the bulbs on the right side of the bike however leaving the the turn signals on the bike is a bad idea as when ever you turn the signals on it looks like you have turned on 4 way flashers. Some times we will disable the front turn signal by placing tape over the terminal for the turn signal this way the front marker light still works.
BTW, we have the triple tree's in stock for your bike if you want easy steering.

Here is a link to an ideal that may or may not work for you, since it concerns a GL1800. Look over the information to see if it gives you an ideal that might apply to your needs. The wiring colors will be different on your Yamaha, but a shop manual should help with that.
