I was watching an ebay auction this week. A Chinese "Ural Style" rolling sidecar chassis with fender. "Buy it Now" went for $650.00.

Any one familiar with this?

There was a guy in Aniwa, Wisconsin selling chinese sidecars. He called himself "Alfa Heaven". He claimed they were his design and he was having them built in China, but they looked like they were old Chaings. I see he no longer has them on his website. http://www.alfaheaven.com/

The Chang Jiang chassis though set up for /2 type mounting is quite different from the URAL or Dnepr.
It uses torsional suspension and the bodies are supported by quarter elliptic leaf springs.
QC is about 3 steps lower than the Dnepr (if you can imagine that). Many parts look homemade. The welding and bodies are also very rough.

But like early URALs, the Dneprs and Sputnicks,
"A little putty and a little paint, will make them babies what they ain't).

Yeah, it had all that, just no body. It was in Wausau, which is very close to Aniwa so I suspect it came from him.

Exactly.

The rear had 1/4 leaf springs. Does the front of the tub rest on coil springs?.....like the old Goulding light frames....

It was in Wausau. The bid was at $250 until I asked what the measurement was between the leaf springs.....then the "buy it now" popped at $650.00 LOL.

The front of the Changs are in rubber mounts like a Ural. The leaf springs at the rear work really good.
