Hi,
I just bought a Yamaha V-Star 1100 with a Friendship III Sidecar. I was cleaning it up yesterday and just checking everything out on it at the same time. I noticed that the front headlight on the sidecar is not working. All of the other lights are working so I'm assuming the bulb just needs replacing. When I started looking at how to take the cover off I didn't see any screws anywhere. How are you supposed to replace the bulbs when they burn out? I'm hoping it is going to end up being something easy to do.
Appreciate any help and advice anyone can give to me.
Thanks!
Angie

I've not had my front one apart, but the rear one has screws inside the body. I'm only guessing, but assume the front will be the same.

You need to pull carpet insde of sidecar . You will see 2 screws. Take them off and all front light assembly will come out outside. Then you can replace light bulb. For installation you will need helper to hold light assembly outside while you put 2 screws inside( watch out for your mother with bar of soap to wash your mouth). Then little glue to fix carpet. It is good idea to replace both bulbs to save you from doing it when 2nd bulb will go out.

Thanks for all of the help with my bulbs. It was pretty easy to get the light assembly out. I was able to get it back in by myself too. It's nice to have the headlight working again.

As you've discovered by now, the factory no longer supports us. Any tricks you learn, or part interchanges you figure out, be sure to let us know. I'm still trying to get to the lock shop. I've been there a couple times, but always get there right after they close.
