aux gas tank
Hello!! Wanted to see if anyone had a recommendation for an aux gas tank?? I have an 03 Electra Glide and a Daytona sidecar. Needed around 2 to 3 gal tank. Wanted to see if it would be possible to mount it between the bike and car? Thanks for every ones time!!

Am not familiar with your particular set up, but here is a good place to shop for all the needed parts.
Many have located an auxiliary fuel cell and transfer pump in the trunk of the sidecar. The biggest hurdle of the install seems to be how and where to tie into your main gas tank.
Maybe a HD rider who has done the install will chime in here.
Good luck, it's a worthwhile project. I love having that extra fuel for long hauls.
How about 2-2.5 gas container on the bracket mounted between the bike and car? It not fancy but no need for lines, pump, plumbing into tank and you can stretch your legs adding fuel.
Thanks but I do have a small gas can.. Just wanted to add the extra if I wanted to go further as an option. Im only going about 1oo before reserve now..
Thanks!!

For your gas tank try tourtank.com. They have many sizes. They also sell non baffled models (less expensive) under name coyote products. On a rig sloshing gas is not much of a problem. Good luck!

I live in Martinsville, VA on the southside, due north of Greensboro, NC about 45 mi, 13 mi from NC line. How bout you? I have the tank mounted in a tail trunk hooked to a fuel pump teed into return injection line with a check valve so as not to pressurize the aux tank. I can transfer 2.2 gallons in about 5-6 min while traveling.

Glad you found a solution, don't forget to post a photo of it so others can benefit too.
Forget it if you have fuel injection. Otherwise it has to be mounted higher than the carb to flow
