Automobile Tire size....
I have a Burgman 650EX with a Velorex sidecar. Rear tire size is 160/60R14. I would like to switch to an auto tire as the rear wears to quickly.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to size and brand I should try?
Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill: We installed a Nexen CP621 165/60R14 on Jena's Burgman rig with thus far satisfactory results. It is a marginally taller than the stock tire. A quick search search at www.tires-easy.com shows 4 choices in this tire size including the CP621 and the Federal Formoza FD1. The local cycle shop mounted Jena's after I gave them a written waiver of liability.

Thanks for the quick response Lee, You've been a huge help as I didn't want to just guess and wasn't having any luck in my searches. I'll check the info out.
It seems like every time I get a safety inspection I need a tire and as you know - "That ain't cheap" 🙁

I thought it was a problem.... my EML came with 135 R15" tires and they were easy and inexpensive...($60 each) But my cousin has an EML and it has 135 R14 tires and those are really hard to find...but I discovered the secret...EBAY...I found lots of that size on EBAY and they were not expensive at all....it was just that the local folks did not want to order them...stinkers.... using EBAY there is no tax and if you look carefully you can find someone that will ship for free....
