I have heard that some people are putting an automotive tires on the rear of 1500 Goldwings . Has anyone done this? Also looking for info for front tire.
There are automotive tires that will fit but they are a bit taller then the stock wheel which does not help your gear ratio. We make a 15 inch wheel for use on the rear of the GL1500. It sells for $945 with a 165 15 tire on it.

Thank you Jay. Do you know what 16" automotive tires will fit? Is it any tire can be use up front?
We used to put the 5.00 x 16" motorcycle tires on our Hotrods back when, but the auto wheels have a different diameter and the standard 16" auto tires won't mount up safely to the cycle wheels.
Apparently the 15" bike wheels are closer to the same size diameter at the bead seat and will work with the standard auto tires.
