I am am brand new to sidecars and am getting a distinct feeling that the toe-in and/or lean out is not OK. I am constantly pushing the right handlebar to keep the bike straight. This URAL video was very helpful to me. I have been googling for sidecar specialists in south florida - no luck. Do you know any around Fort lauderdale?

Alternatively, I might have to fix this myself. I tried riding today with a 50 lb sand bag in the sidecar.. but the same constant fight with the handlebar.

Thoughts? Any easy way to check the toe-in and lean out? I am tired of fighting with the rig.

Hi Ronnie,Ā  You might try calling the folks at Florida Sidecar Products.Ā  I don't think they are a repair shop, but they may have good info on a shop or competent rider/shop who could help.Ā

Yes, you should not have to fight the bars.Ā  The sidecar will push/pull when changing speeds, but should be pretty neutral at a consistent speed.Ā

I had a similar issue with mine and replaced the triple tree with a specially built one by DMC Sidecar. They may now be owned by Texas Sidecars.

Ronnie,Ā  IĀ  know of two very competent sidecar owners in Florida.Ā  The closest one is 140 miles from you,Ā  in Fort Myers.

The other one is 260 miles from you,Ā  in Astatula....north of Orlando.Ā

Both of these guys know how to properly set up a sidecar rig.Ā
