Try to figure out the installation of the steering stabilizer on front hub
We find that if the alignment is correct and all mounts are solid that at the most all you need is to slightly over tighten your steering head bearings. A damper makes your steering effort harder all the time which is the last thing you need. The Champion damper which in my opinion is far to stiff connects on the sidecar side to a bracket that bolts to the pinch bolts on the frame of the sidecar for the front lower mount. On the bike side you need to cut a hole the right rotor cover for the bracket to stick out. It has been about 20 years since I installed one but if memory serves there is a thick gusset like triangle in part of the fork casting that you drill a hole into for the bracket to attach. Champion has on their web site many of their instructions. You could take a look and see if they have instructions posted.
