Heim Linkage specs eml LL
Helllo,
I'm trying to quiet a "rattling" Heim linkage on my EML LL. Specifically, I'm looking to replace the linkage to each "brake assembly" on the "leading link". Can anyone provide the specifications and or an upgrade options?
Thank you, Russell
Hiem joints are sized by the shaft and hole diameter. If they have a threaded shaft they are male, if they have internal threads then female. You can also get them for standard right hand thread or left hand thread. I would guess that yours are 10mm male right hand thread. This is what we use on leading links with floating calipers. You will need to check. Hiem joints come in many different grades. Some have a plastic like bushing others and alloy like bronze. Mc Master Carr is an easy place to order these from. The "plastic" ones tend to be quieter. Of course you could try and see if EML is going to be of any help.

Thanks Jay. You were correct; 10 mm, right hand thread.

Last weekend I was looking for one those er guards for pickup, and I stop at one of those places that raises those four wheel drive pickups up and do all sorters of things to pickup. Well what I trying to say is they complet rack of all size of heim joints. I was looking for 5/8” they had the plastic one with nut left or right for $25.00. Which I thought was priced right.Rudyr
