81 velorex 562 and 08 superglide
I've got a 81 Velorex sidecar I got for free. It needs redone but the frame appears to be in good shape. The fiberglass is good as well.
Is it a dumb idea to try to get this thing mounted up on my 08 superglide? It has all the original hardware, obviously Il go through and replace what needs replaced but what would be the best way to attach to the frame of my bike?
Also thinking about upgrading suspension and axle.
Any recommendations or comments welcome, looking for a little guidance
Thanks! Il post pictures when I get off work.
This sidecar is way to light duty for your bike, it is a great little sidecar for little bikes, You would be much better off going with a stronger heaver sidecar for your bike or putting this sidecar on a much smaller lighter bike. Even if you up grade the suspension and axle, the sidecar frame and wheel are still not up to a bike as large as yours.
Should you wish to put this sidecar on a smaller lighter bike or a stronger heavier sidecar on your current bike we would be glad to help you with mounting hardware and while we could provide mounting hardware for this combination we will not.
Safety must come first.

I appreciate your response to my question in both Forums Jay! That is kinda what I was afraid to hear. I never thought I would receive a free sidecar, so never really considered there was so much involved until I started reading and doing some research. Thanks!!
Did you get my PM?
