want to buy a velorex
Anyone have a velorex they're not using? email cj4829@gmail.com
We just got a 562 in that has been up dated to our style lower rear mount. At this link you can see what we do http://www.dmcsidecars.com/the-result-of-improper-sidecar-mounting-and-the-proper-fix/ The sidecar is white in color and has a new windshield that still has the plastic film on it. The seat is black and red. The price would depend on what mounting hardware you will be needing to go with it.

Hi Jay-I'm putting it on a 1975 r90/6 bmw-
I can do this with bike specific NOT universal mounts for $2500
Of course we can also supply bike specific for most sidecars for your bike which does require sub frames.

Hi Jay-I sent a reply but have lost it--the sidecar will be mounted on a 1975 r90/6--and idea what you would charge? cj4929@gmail.com
The sidecar with the hardware is $2500, if you want us to install it with hooking up the brake and wiring add $1000

I'm too far away for you to do it-
I have a new Velorex 562 Cruiser for $3,400. with all the factory accessories and OEM mount set.
Assemble and all setup for mounting.
Also 1- new 563 Tour model, still in the crate for $3,800.
This model has the upgraded suspension, unlike the old 562E and 562 Std. models that had the 15mm axle and lightweight suspension.

To mount a Velorex sidecar to your BMW the "universal" type mounts are not worth much more then their scrap value, They do not work on the BMW and over time if some one does manage to get the sidecar mounted to the bike may cause the frame on the BMW to fail next to where the clamps are installed as the BMW frame tubing is very thin.
The mounts we make for your bike consist of two sub frames, the front sub frame gives you both the upper front and the lower front mount, the lower front having a stand off to clear the head of the bike. The rear mount attaches near the upper right shock mount, then again near the swing arm pivot, then goes around the exhaust pipe, under the bike and ties to near the swing arm pivot on the left side of the bike. This provides both the upper rear and the lower rear mount. It also moves the mounts further apart then would other wise be possible and puts the lower mounts about the same distance off of the ground which makes it much easier to align as with the mounts the same distance off the ground when you change lean out it does not change your toe setting.

We use the DMC mount set for the Airhead.Beemer conversions. We've tried others but theirs seem to fit the best.
The problem with the /5, /6, /7 models is that the German engineering ends at the seat post. The whole rear bustle assembly depends upon 2- 8mm bolts to keep the whole a**end from dropping onto the rear tire.

Lonny that sounds like Kawa KLR650. After owning it 2000km turning in a clay pool I lifted the back 6". Nice when the next village is 500m deeper. 2 electric fence isolators helped me down home.
Jessy, specific mounts are the choice to go with. hopefully a subframe is included. The R90 gives a charming work horse for a rig.
