Champion Daytona 2+2

I'm a little ways away from being able to buy but I'm looking for leads on some of Champion's old Daytona 2+2 sidecars. They aren't listed on the manufacturers website and while there are a couple within driving distance of me they come with a goldwing or suzuki attached which I would have to get rid of myself since I want to bolt it onto a Valkyrie, though if it comes down to it, it might end up being cheaper to buy the goldwing equipped one anyway. Originally wanted it for my aging dog who passed away last month and now I figure it wont hurt to have it before I need it when I eventually get a new passenger.

You aren’t wrong about it being easier to buy the GW rig with the Champion Daytona 2+2 and then mating that to your Valkyrie. What year BTW? In any case, you would likely find a willing buyer for any WING already modified for sidecar use fairly quickly.
Champion no longer has any business in sidecars, only trike builds. The Daytona is a great car as I have one on my 06 Wing.
Reply again and you should be able to post the link to the album.

@thane-lewis The link is to Florida sidecar products history of champion page. The Valkyries I have in mind are a 98 in red black and a yet to be bought 2000 touring in green. Depends on whether I get the red daytona with the GL or the Green with the suzuki.

Both will be stunning! I wasn’t sure if you were considering the 1800 Valkyrie that is also an epic bike for a tug.

One psychological point I would make: green is the hardest color to perceive in a vehicle. For some reason, many people simply don’t recognize that a vehicle is present when said vehicle is green.
What year is the red 1500? Has it had steering modifications? In any case, both of those cars have the convertible top already included which makes it a lot easier for a human passenger to ride comfortably. One challenge with the Daytona design is that the windscreen is flat and wind comes around the edges and smacks the passenger directly in the face without a top installed. DAMHIK.
Completely my perspective, but I would lean towards the 1500 Wing rig. They have a cult like following and would be easier to “move along” than the Boulevard with the giant windscreen.

And, it is highly probable that the Red Goldwing 1500 does NOT has Reverse. Not all of the Honda Goldwing 1500's came with Reverse, especially the earlier ones form 1988 to 1991, but the upper trim level ones did. So if this Red Goldwing is an Aspencade, or a SE model, then it has Reverse.
The YEAR of a Honda Goldwing 1500 makes a considerable difference.
If fuel mileage is any consideration at all, the Goldwing 1500 will get better fuel mileage than the Valkyrie, either solo as a 2 wheeled bike, or when a sidecar is attached to it. The Valkyrie's are well know for sucking fuel. Fun to ride, but sucks fuel.

The GL is an 89, pretty sure its not the top trim for the year.
But the windshield is actually part of why I want the daytona. The dogs like to pull off their goggles and stick their heads out windows so having the protection in place and still getting hte breeze without leaning out of the sidecar is ideal.
I'm aware of the fuel difference between the bikes but the goldwings just feel wrong compared to the valkyries.

Dork, after reading your posts, and views, I would politely suggest that you forget about that Red 1989 Honda Goldwing 1500, and buy BOTH....the Suzuki Boulevard w/Champion Daytona 2+2 sidecar, AND buy the Green/Silver Honda Valkyrie Touring bike.
The Valkyrie is the bike that is really speaking to your wants and desires....don't ignore those feelings.
And the Silver paint of the Champion Daytona 2+2 that is attached to the Suzuki will be very close to matching the Silver that is part of the two tone paint of the Valkyrie Tourer.
Remove the Daytona 2+2 sidecar from the 'zuk.....attach it to the Valkyrie....sell the 'zuk.
One nice thing about that model/year of Valkyrie is that most sidecar pilots find there is little or no need to reduce the trail on the bike, as the front wheel is already out there so much, and that Valkyrie rear wheel can easily accept a Car Tire...so many pluses.
Oh, and that '89 Goldwing 1500, most likely does NOT have reverse, as it is the Interstate model, so no benefit in buying that bike.

@miles-ladue The greens are my preference but Its still being weighed against the $9k difference in cost between buying both of those compared to just the goldwing and taking the rig off of that for the red valkyrie. And theres always the possibility that one or the other might just sell before I get the last bit of cash I need for the purchase.
