Hello All,

I just signed up today since I put my first sidecar on the road. The drive home of only a few miles was an interesting experience!

Anyway, it's a BMW R65 with what I believe to be an older California Sidecar (GT style but not the same as what is pictured on their website) and needs some fine tuning and TLC and I have no experience with sidecars.

Are there any sidecarists here on the forum that live in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY that can offer me sage words of advice as well as actually look at this thing and point out the error of my "new" ways 🙂

I look forward to replies and advice.

Thanks,

John C.

Welcome to the madness Glad to have you aboard.
The predecessor of the GT is their Companion model.
Take a few pix of your rig and put them in an album here.

I hope to have a few up soon on my web site. It needs a little work so I'm sure that this was the right place to sign up.

I just picked it up a few days ago and almost got creamed bringing it home. It was a good buy, but the setup needs some serious tuning. Oh well... I kinda guessed what I was getting into before hand and I'm pretty excited about it.

Our shop is in central Pa about 2 1/2 hours south of watkins glen...if you can make it down I would be happy to look it over for you. Shoot me an email. If we are up in that area maybe we can get together that way. We do typically come to the finger lakes BMW rally but that is in September. My wife's family is in Carthage up above watertown. Her brother had a sidecar for a long time so he may be able to help also.
