I met up with fellow sidecarist Hardy Saturday morning 10/1/2011 in Jefferson Texas and then on to see the bike show at the 27th annual vintage British/Euro bike show at Lake of the Pines hosted by the North Texas Norton Owners Association ( http://www.ntnoa.org/ ). Attached are pics of the 5 sidecars entered in the show, included one that apparently must be "wound-up" to run.

I don't know if that is for winding it up.
BMW has had some unusual ignition keys over the years.
