Not really doin' much this year.
A bit of a catch up. My couple of day trip around the lake was as great as expected. Took a road that I haven't been on since my Dad passed. 1989. My goodness where does the time go??
A few big trees left, but not many.
A little side trip, but the road I wanted was a tad grown-in.. not for me today when your 50 k in from the main road and there is no sign any one has been there in a while.
Found a great place to camp over night, Loons and owls making the noise they make. There was two other campers there so I knew the fresh bear scat was not to worry about !!!
My Phone camera is acting up so I don't seem to stop for pictures much lately.
A lonely little lake that would be great to come back to at some point
My time being limited, I didn't take the big loop I had planned up to Tum Tum Lake. A bit of industrial traffic put me off too.. Meeting large loaded Logging trucks at speed and dealing with all the dust is just no fun.. I took a shorter route that would get me home for supper and yet I was still able to explore some new road.
That was my last sort of over night trip- we did a nice weekend with my buddy Chris camping with our local riding group but I was on the Himalayan and didn't take pictures
Did a bit of trail work, set up for our local bicycle races, Sidecars are great tools for this sort of thing
direction signs for a 40 kilometre XC race!!
My set up incase any one needs support at the half way point.. No one did.
Stopped on the way out
So nice to have this sort of thing 10 minutes from my door step
The last hurrah of the year was a bit of exploring again with Chris as we were again camped out with our riding group. This time with the wives and RVs
Up Mount Kobau, Now just a radio tower and Provincial Park but a long time ago, Canada was going to put an Observatory up here.. Plans fell through but the road they built is sort of fun.
So mainly just short trips, with no real plans. Life took over this year.
Things take time, More house renovations. New siding, so I don't have to paint any more and the house and shop are a tad more fire smart. New roofs going on in the spring
Lots of bike riding with my younger friends
and time spent deciding with my racing buddy, as if we are going to put the time and effort into a refresh of the MGB so he can charge the Hill again.. It is way over due
Do I or don't I. Big plans for next year, with the summer gone by in a flash. It's going to take all winter to get ready and mentally prepare for the rides ahead.
One last beautiful fall ride
