Though health issues have required me to close down out daily sidecar shop operations, I still am able to supply my Bolt on upgrade kit that fits all Velorex 562/03 (E model), 562/09 ( Standard model) and 700 models that have the early (most all pre 2005's) 15mm axles.

I build these per special prepaid order. A high mileage inexpensive modular wheel is normally used with this conversion, although there are many options available for wheel choice.

I have one in stock at this time. price is $300. including US shipping. Payable with personal check or MO to Lonnie Cook, or $310 if using PayPal acc't.(nwsidecar@aol.com).

Sadly, Lonnie has passed away. With his idea and a bit of his advice, and the article from the Sidecarist, I am planning to do this upgrade he designed. He had, by the time I decided to do it, sold this last one and did not care to build another. Any advice would be appreciated, I'm especially ignorant of the added ear for mounting the shock, as pictured above.

Thanks in advance, everyone, and rest in peace Lonnie.

Jeff,

Interested in how you made out with your suspension upgrade, I would like to do the same. Can you share your experience and knowledge of what is involved to do this modification?

Thanks,

Lenny

Hope these pics will give an idea of how a trailer hub and spindle are welded onto a Velorex swingarm. Doesn't seem very difficult.
