Old thread I know but I have seen a lot of Lane splitting in the last two weeks because of several long-distance trips to see Doctors. Just letting you know it's alive and well here in the Phoenix area.

Not advised with a sidecar rig! lol... Long time solo riders might forget and lose more time than they thought they'd save!!

It looks like Dnepr Motors could build a custom sidecar to take care of the traffic issues.  https://dnepr-motors.com/

Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

That was a lot of fun, reading how two wheel motorcyclist react to sharing a lane with a car for 3 seconds or so. What is that a 40" waist? All kinds of room, just go faster, right? I do it all the time. It all made perfect sense until I read Tim Larkins post about lane splitting a sidecar in LA  traffic.  My "rig" is 6' wide. I had to go measure it just now. NO way would I split.    Of course I've been stuck in traffic, just like those guys with air conditioning and rolled-up windows. But NO way would I ever attempt to  split.. just no.

I'm just sayin   Bill
