I also had the police pull me over for steering with only one hand. He verbally warned me then talked for a while about the sidecar. I think he really only wanted to check out my ride ..

... children, elder ones and traffic cops....

'Bout the same here. Even had a deputy sheriff follow us 'til we stopped at a red light, then quickly pulled into the gas station along the right of us... to take a picture of Maddie in the sidecar.

we get thumbs up from EVERYONE !...
we have people pull up and take pictures, we have been followed and pulled over quite a few times from reg people to cops,
just so they can take pictures, and or to just talk about the dog riding in the sidecar
we were sitting at a stop light one day, a couple ladies pulled up next to us giving the thumbs up, then they pulled fwd, the car right behind them did the same thing gave us the thumbs up, then pulled fwd, wasnt paying attention, and rear ended the 1st car ( it was the only time i didnt have the video camera rolling....DAMN....lol )

We get ++reactions from almost everyone! Even had some sport bikes zip by then slow back to us with a thumbs up. When we ride into town during tourist season someone always points at us as we come into town. Even had an middleaged Mennonite woman say to us at a cross walk that she wanted a ride and asked if we had room!
The ural just because it's unusual!
The Sporster because everyone thinks it is an old bike.

I had the fortune once of tearing up my childhood "roller coaster" country road ( drove it 10 times /day) to sneek up behind a couple of sport riders in unfamilure territory, told wife to hold on to the pillon, and smoked past him to lead the 4 through the valley to the highground a few miles and several curves later,..at the coffee shop the 4 were dumbfounded (20 somethings) that A...sidecars existed, B.. they are rideable,...and C they could go that fast. and handle that well....my wife couldn't contain her laughter knowing I had sport biked that road for 20 plus years. you'd have thought my name was Copperfield instead of Crawford ,. the hack is just too much fun,...hehe crawf.

I haven't had the sidecar rig long but, I can honestly say we get more looks and thumbs up than any other vehicle we have owner. Kids usually notice first. What amazes me is all the smiles. Especially from old folks. I guess sidecars bring some fond thoughts of adventure or romance. Way cool. I'll never be without a side car again.

today it was 80 deg out [tomorrow rain and 50]so i took the sidecar out.the guys on the harleys and goldwings would 75 percent of the time beat me to a wave .[one thumbs up from a goldwing]the ricers you almost had to force a wave out off them.but i figure its more to do with riding postision than attitude.a lot of smiles at the stoplights so all and all a nice little ride

When I had the Valkyrie, I was rolling down the interstate one day and approached a full sized van. The guy leaned out of the driver's window with an SLR camera, so far that I could see his belt buckle! Both hands operating the camera!
