looking at buying my first chair. any ideas on what an '05 562 is worth? it's missing the front "bumper" at least. i've only seen pictures. also, anything inherently sub par (things i should consider upgrading, replacing, reinforcing) on this year? i know there is a heavy duty suspension availble on new models. was that an option in '05? how can i tell if it has it?

NADA & Kelley have value listings. They may be higher or lower than what prices are available in your area since they average out pricing across the US.
If the sidecar has a 20mm axle, an adjustable shock and a swingarm with slotted holes it has the newer OEM upgraded suspension.
'05 was when the changeover occured on all Velorex models. The 562E (Economy) model was also discontinued that year. It was designated 562/03.

here's the scoop. it has an adjustable shock, couldn't see the axle at all, and the swingarm had some slots in it. the wheel is braked and the interior is fully lined. didn't think to look at the data plate for a model. DOH!!! condition is really good. i think it's a done deal. if i don't back out come Sunday, i'll be bringing it home.

Can't seem to find the serial number for my hitch hiker side can I just purchased...did they put one on and if so where should I be looking..I've looked everywhere on it for one.
Also can't find out who made them and if this company still exists.
Any help would be appreciated.

Originally built in Minnesota by Bob Loberg. Molds sold to Pat Sheehy. I believe they were last built in Ohio . Not in production for some time. They probably went out about the same time as most other US makers in 1982-'83, when Federal Product Liability Laws were expanded. Most small builders couldn't afford the insurance so they faded into the sunset.
