Two questions.

1. Does the TLE Ultra seat and backrest fit in the TLE?

2. Is there a significant comfort difference?

yes it will

and there is a kit that includes the seat, arm rests, cover, map pockets, knee bolsters - that is less than the seat and the cover. cant find the scrap of paper that has the "kit" number on it......

If you find that part number, let us/me know. I'd like to see what it goes for. Thanks in advance.

ok found it - ymmv - and while when looking through the parts on screen these appear to be the proper parts to put a full ultra interior other than the handles in a non ultra 04 - who knows...

kit 88420-04 600bux

includes:
88421-04 ultra sidecar seat 499$
88494-89 right bolster 33$
88495-89 left bolster 33$
armrest right and left - no number not sold seperate
88500-89 right map pocket 66.70$
88501-89 left map pocket 66.70$
88530-98 cover 115.75$

the handles are 131 each - studs 5 each nuts 2.25 each

dont know if the metal backers are in the kit or not - if i do this ill order the kit and see before doing anything else

the kit is cheaper than just a seat and cover & if i can use the rest cool

Thanks. I'll check it out. By the way, my 2004 parts book shows the following P/N's for the Ultra/TLE armrest cushions: 88496-89A (right) and 88497-89A (left). It's sounding like a lot of $$$, however for the whole round trip. Then, throw in the radio amplifier and pod and you would be in a situation where you should have bought the Ultra model in the first place.........Ha. There is no free lunch!

Thanks again, I'll look into it.

The prices I was quoted were $421 for the seat and $503 for the complete kit. Looks like a no brainer.

I've got an unused set of TLE/Ultra armrest cushions.
$40.00 including UPS shipping (US).

i dont ever ride without a helmet - so the speakers are pointless

so what i did was get a 2006 harmon karden ultra sidecar harness, the switch pod & plug harness and the swtich pod itself and the cover - then milled out a block of wood and mounted all of the parts in that 2' x 10" and added a power point and a plug for swimbo's heated suit and bolted that under the dash under the windshield. takes up way less room and keeps her happy - she can plug in her game boy or computer and play games - especially nice at night.

however as ive said a few times - i would have been well OVER 1000$ AHEAD to have traded in the bike and sidecar together for a ultra with ultra sidecar vs putting the 04 sidecar on the 07 ultra bike. i was trying to save bux....

1k for the 07 mount kit
1k for wire etc
front wheel to match sidecar [300 cheaper than the other way around]
600 for seat
3 days of my time

live and learn
