tires
If there already is a thread (and I am assuming there may be but could not find a "search" engine for specific key words), please direct me, but my question is this:
What are those that have a Harley Hack, running for tires, specifically the rear tire and sidecar tire? I need pre 09 Harley tire info, as things changed in 09 for the touring models....
Thanks in advance for any info/input on tires.
Hey, Freaky, you might want to click on Search and enter: Harley car tire, and with this search engine always click to 'Search all posts' instead of selecting 'In the last week, 6 months, year' etc.
Check those results, all kinds of stuff kicks back. Many are using car tires with great success, much better tread wear and handling, worth checking out anyway. Some like to refer to it as the 'Dark Side'.
Thanks much....will check that out.

Radial, R5.00/16
I have been researching this on and off for a couple months now and the only answer that consistently shows up in the various forums is the Coker radial in the size you mentioned. I'm sure there are more tires that could work, but I have been unsuccessful at is finding a chart that shows conversion between motorcycle and car tire numbering systems. It seems I'll need to measure the physical dimensions of the Dunlop I have on there now and compare it to the dimensions listed on car tire websites to find a more readily available car tire than the special order Coker.
The bias ply 5.00x16" tires will fit but the mileage is much shorter.
