Hello all, new here, I have a Heritage Springer, am waiting for a Motorvation Spyder sidecar, was wondering if anyone on this forum has such an outfit? and did you need a steering dampener? thanks for any help, David

Do you have a shake in the front end? If not you do not need a damper. If you do you may be able to get rid of some of the shake by adjusting the alignment and making sure there is no flex in the mounts. You can also very slightly over tighten the steering head bearings for a bit more resistance.
For the Springer if you want lighter steering effort we modify the rockers to reduce trail. This can be seen on our web site www.dauntlessmotors.com
