Sportster / Sidecar

Hey Guys! As I stated in an earlier message my Sporty, "Eagle5" she'll chatter your back fillings out, if you let her...found comfort zone , so far, between 43-56 for smoothness, probably each Sporty has their "zone" for me the smooth rumble is comforting...beats driving kids around ...who can screech ....in the side car they forget and enjoy the ride.
I see alot in the blog about the 883...any more 1200's out there and what car did you attaach?
Soon I will be needing new tires esp back any suggestions?

I have a Texas sidecar on my '07 1200. It has the inherent little wobble at about 20mph, but other than that it rides really nice. It does vibrate of course, but I haven't experienced any bone-jarring vibrations.
It seems to have enough torque on the low end and plenty of horsepower for me at speed.
I haven't had the opportunities to get tons of road time, but now that this goofy Missouri weather is finally moderating I hope to change that. Maybe after I get some additional seat time I may be more critical, but right now I'm really having a good time with it. Also, I am truly amazed at the number of people who wave at me. And it's just not other bikers. It's kids in their carseats, soccer moms in their vans, younger, older and every other type in between. Fun.

Went for a short pre-sidecar ride Sunday afternoon to try out the Rifle replacement winshield for the HS quick-detach super sport(as poor excuse of a shield). The Rifle is a little shorter/wider andworks quite well. Should help a lot with all day rides with the sidecar. And I keep the speed below 62mph, as hanging on isn't that much fun. Actually, the Sportster is one of the most, if not the most, enjoyable bikes I've ever riden for half-day country drives, as long as the road is not too "technical," which we don't have in our locale.

Latest word is sidecar in maybe 2 1/2 weeks or so.
