Has anyone adapted their sidecar for sleeping in while on the road? I have a Velorex 700 and find that I can lay the backrest on the floor in front of the seat which makes it level. I then put a inflatable matress over this and find quite a comfortable bunk. I'm 6' and fit quite snugly. Reminds of the birth I used to sleep in on my small sailboat years earlier. I was wondering if anyone else is eccentric as I am.

Not exactly what he had in mind. LoL That must be one comfey ride you have their R. Tom.
I was thinking of putting the trunk on my sidecar on a slider with removable legs braces so that I could extend the length of my sidecar, just for the purpose of sleeping in it. Of course, I would have to also widen it a bit, to fit my big porportions. LoL. But alas, my electric wheelchair will have to take presidence, over any other ideas I may have, form my sidecar.

When traveling alone I have slept in oput motorvation formula II many tines. Seat stays at hope and floor of sidecar had 4" of foam on it. Not bad at all. I carry gear in the sidecar and put it in a smal tent at night...yeah a little backwards maybe.
Actually Motorvation made a camper sidecar based on the Formila II which as since been discontinued.

I use my hack rig on long distance competitions. Navigator sleeps in the sidecar while the operator drives. Then rotate at fuel stops. Last year on the minnesota 1000 we ran just shy of 1400 miles in 23 and a half hours. Well rested riders win rallies.

I knew that but it sure gave me an excuse to post the photo of Carson sound asleep. Couldn't resist...

Great picture. I wish I had one of my 30 something daughter like that. Everytime we get out on the Interstate I look over and she is either reading a book or sleeping.
My son grew up in a sidecar. He was laying on the floor of my Hitchhiker, sound asleep, with his head on the seat when I hit the deer with it. He never even knew it happened.
