Sidecarist July/Aug

Jan,  I'm willing to take flack for the website but I have nothing to do with Sidecarist content.  I'm not even a proof reader and Martin doesn't answer my emails.  The thing about folks not reading the instructions... I don't have a vote on what ballots to accept or discard.

The on line ballot clearly states at the top to only vote for the candidates in one's own region and even gives an example.

I have been told that voting will end on August 10, 2020 at 5 PM Central time.

I received my issue of the Sidecarist on Monday August 3rd.

Bruce, I don't know if all The Sidecarists are mailed on the same day, but there seems to be quite a difference in delivery dates.  I know mine came in very late July.  I mailed my ballot to Kent Silk in Houston on Monday this week.  I hope it makes it there by the 10th.  I suppose the postmark would make it official. 

Ditto on the Sidecarist, though I received mine the middle of July.  Magazines and catalogs are not a priority delivery item. 

I understand the voting deadline is August 10th, 5 pm.  Only Ballots in hand by that time will be counted.

I believe that ballots post marked on or before August 10th will be counted as has been our custom in the past.  I don't know what delivery time the Board will allow but I'm certain that they will be fair.  As a side note, we have a number of ballots coming in over the website and more come in every day.  I wish I could say that we're going to have the majority of members voting but that's not likely.  We should have more than last year.

Things must be moving slow down here in Louisiana, as we haven't yet received our July/August issue.
