I've decided (at 79) it's time to retire from the sidecar business. We will keep operations going on a part time basis until we sell off our present sidecar stock or will sell the business to an interested party.

I've learned a lot from you in these postings. I appreciate very much your willingness to contribute to the knowledge base here and your helpfulness. I assume that you'll still be here even if you close or sell your business.

If you sell, would be interested in knowing that, because I know you'll sell only to someone who is knowledgeable and will do it right. Due to recent economic circumstances, my plan to have a sidecar rig has been delayed, but it will happen. When it's time, I want someone like yourself to do the work...

Congratulations on your retirement!! I hope you get to ride a bunch now...

If we just wind the business down and fold up the tent I'll still be active here. We've made a lot of friends via the USCA and sidecar.com and expect to make a few more.

Thanks,

Lonnie

Hey Lonnie- Here's wishing you and Judy the best in retirement. Hope the rest of your trip a few weeks ago was a good one. It sure was good to link up when you came through Reardan.

Hi Tom,
I stopped in at Chelan for a few minutes. No familiar faces except Biker Billie's crew so I headed for the North Cascade Highway. One of my favorite rides. It had just opened for the season but 15 miles west of Winthrop it was closed due to a slide so I had to backtrack to US highway 97. Laid over at Biggs Junction on the Columbia river. Woke up to a wet morning and headed south to the fossil beds and the "Journey into the past" Scenic Byway. Lots of 15 MPH switchbacks then through the Malheur Nat'l Forest. Beautiful ride if the weather had cooperated. Too much fog and rain for good pix, but all in all a nice spring outing. Highest gas was in Grass Valley, Oregon still winter priced at $4.499. Bet it's higher today!
I enjoyed our visit and will give you a call next time I'm in the area. I took the old highway like you suggested. A few bumps and potholes but it beats the superslab for this old geezer.
Here's you your rig in Reardan and some painted hills in Oregon.

Lonnie.
