I'm finally back on three wheels. Or will be shortly, once I finish this installation...
Road Glide/Ranger

The bike will be painted black, as the original Pacific Blue Pearl is getting tatty. And I never really did like that silver pinstripe, anyway. 🙂

Thanks! I considered colour matching the chair, but the bike's paintwork is almost 6yrs old now and needs repainting. Just not keen on the expense of painting both, is all.

I'm liking you front sidecar running/turn signal light. Did you run the wires under or thru the tub?

It's a stock Harley front signal/running light with chrome trim ring, smoked lens and orange bulb mounted on a painted 3" metal shelf bracket. I ran the wires inside the tub to the trunk area; the glue was still fresh so I just gently peeled back the carpet and ran the wires underneath.

Man, that's just a perfect match, looks like they were cast from the same set of molds! Should be a real eye popper when the paintwork is done.

Just today I was on a website, something like 'Cycle Classics', not sure. They had the little custom chrome trim pieces for fender leading edge. One of those would be a real nice accent to tie the sidecar design into the bike even more, like a truly matching pair.

Well done, thanks for showing it!

My thoughts exactly! The crease on the front of the sidecar matches the crease on the bike's fairing, makes it look almost like it was a factory rig. Thanks for the idea of the fender tip, I think I'll look into that.

Yes, that would be a very nice finishing touch yet tasteful. Here's a link for some nice quality chrome metal fender tips. They may be available at discounts elsewhere because they're sold by many vendors:

At 165# the Ranger is a light sidecar for a Road Glide.
Keep plenty of ballast in it.

Yep, figured that out on the first test ride. I figure about 80lb should do it... 40lb of barbell weights and a 40lb dog.
