Not necessarily the most likable topic, huh?!

The bike seat on the Royal Enfield, on trips of 40 miles or more, although strongly supported by durable springs, and padded well, STILL doesn’t keep me from feeling like I’m sitting on a rock (I have an enlarged Prostate that I’m taking a med for).

The only additional comment I can make about that, is that the seat on my Road Glide never gave me a problem that way.

So perhaps what’s worth saying is, that if you are considering a Royal Enfield, think about seat options while you are in the “buying” process. ESPECIALLY if you have any issues that need to be considered.

As for “me,” I will either double my dosage (meds) or look into a different seat, or BOTH!!

Check out an airhawk. While I don't have that particular problem (yet), I can see it being great for that sort of thing. I have ridden on the Enfield, and I don't see it being too much different from any similar small bike seat. The devil is in the details, of course, but I'm just saying you can probably take the portable solution on another bike with an airhawk, which you can't do with a new seat.

There was another seat that Royal Enfield offered, that looked a bit more like an old style motorcycle or “tractor” seat (if you will), Which kind of contours itself to your derrière a bit better, but I seem to recall that it appeared to have less padding.

I’ll do a little homework on the seat you recommend.
