She is a grand lady. I never knew anyone to think ill of her.
Sad news indeed!! She's a fine lady and a fine leader. Prayers and best wishes sent her way!!
Gail,
Please keep us informed, I truly hope all is going well for her.
Chuck, - tax man - Don Banwart's post on RacedisII, has more details. I knew she was having chemo, but thought she was managing. Apparently things are *not* looking good at all. I hope if Don has more news, that he will post it on a more public thread then the Board only access one. .. Joyce is one tough gal, but... π .. She is going to need a lot of collective energy to get through this..

Hang in there Joyce. There are winners in the cancer battle. The doc told me to find a hospice 11 months ago due to MPC and I feel much better now. Chemo again tomorrow at the St. Alfonsus Cancer Center in Boise.

This was posted in Racedis II and I have Donβs OK to move it here.
"I received word from Jim DeJarnatt (the DeJarnetts helped Joyce get to doctor appointments and in other ways) that Joyce died early this morning. Her daughter called Jim to tell him. She will be cremated and there will be graveside services, but the date and time has not yet been determined. I, like many of you, have mixed emotions over her death. I'm happy that I got to know Joyce and I'm happy her pain is over, but it is with sadness that I received this news of Joyce's death."
