On another thread, I was looking for ideas of sidecars for a RoadKing. I think I have narrowed it down to the Liberty car or a Ural. The Ural has better access in and out, and is cheaper, Liberty is really cool.Although I have a ural sidecar (on a V Strom) I cannot seem to find any good pictures of Urals on Harleys or other metric cruisers. I am sure I have seen them, but......Any help would be appreciatedgreg

Excellent pictures Lonnie. Good job. These type sidecar look good on cruisers and do lend themselves to some mods if desired. They can be lowered. fitted with a Harleyesque Windshield, have a harley or aftermarket fender installed etc etc.
We like the Changs which are almost the same look as a Ural but have the body sprung with leaf springs at the rear that can be chromed. We will be doing two of these soon one of which will go on a Yamaha 1100 V star. That one will be lowered , get an aftermarket fender and a convertible top. It will also receive a torsion bar suspension and a swaybar.

Lonnie, thanks SO much, that really helps. Our plan is to find a Harlet sidecar, and see if access is an issue. I sort of think it will be, particularly if there are alternatives.Claude, do you have any pictures of the chang sidecar? I have sort of gotten away from lots of chrome, but that was AFTER I got done with the RoadKing.

Greg,
Sorry, I do not have any good pics of a Chang on a cruiser ir seems. Attached in a pic of a dnper on a harley and also a chang frame so you can see the springs i spoke of. FYI, The chassis has a torsion bar suspension(not shown).
If access to a newer Harley tub or the Liberty is an issue you could really get wild and go with '67 or earlier metal reporduction from Merle with a door. His shop is about 50 miles from us.
