Hi, All:
I am an old time side car driver. I built and drove a total of seven rigs, during the seventies, and eighties, and was an early member of the USCA, and the Third wheel club. I lived and breathed side cars for ten or fifteen years, even started a USCA chapter, called The All Ohio Side Car Association. My last side car rig, was built in 1985, and it is a KZ1300 Kawasaki/EML. The last time I used it was to go to the USCA national rally In Kitchner, Ont. Canada, in 1985, or 86, as I remember. Came home from the rally and parked the rig, got into shooting, and rv'ing, and have not used it since. I have got back into riding again after a long time, and intend to put the Kaw./EML rig back into service, when I get back to Ohio, in the spring. It will be good to get back to driving a rig again, but I think it will be quite a job to get the old rig back in trim again, so wish me luck.

Welcome back Lowell! I was at those kitchner rallies too and maybe we spoke way back then. Yes, by all means try and make the USCA National Rally in NC and also you may want to try to come to the ISOK Sidecar RON DEE VOO IV in central PA. AUGUST 2-5.(See link to ISOK Yahoo site below) The Keystome Kampout is in Western Pa later in August and woudl be pretty close for you. Anyhwo, welcome back and we hope you get that rig going without too much hassle. I bet the EML is smiling in anticipation too.

Yes, I have a picture to post, but don't know how to post on this forum, but here goes. Some time back someone, that I can't remember, borrowed my lifelong picture album of motorcycle pictures, and didn't return it. I have tried to get a few pictures together, from old slides, pictures taken with a minox camera etc. their quality is very poor.
All of records of my membership to the USCA, and the Third Wheel clubs are in Ohio, and I am in Florada. Can anyone help me find out what our old membership numbers numbers were?
I had the rally album of that Kitchner rally, but someone helped themselves to it, at a USCA-All Ohio Side Car rally many years ago. You may have already guessed that I have poor luck, keeping my photographs.

Hi, Richard:
Thanks for the help with the picture. I want to find out how to post pictures on this forum correctly, like the ones that open automaticly. I guess I will have to read the forum info.
In answer to your question, I live about twenty Mi. South East of Punta Gorda, and about twenty mi. East of Fort Meyers, way out in the boondocks.
The mailing address is Punta Gorda.

Chubbo,

I am happy I could help with the picture. You just post too much look at your and then mine.

As to why I ask where you are at here in Fla there are two reasons one I am nosey and the other is I am the USCA State Rep for Fla. We are having a get together the 1st week end in March and would love to have you come up. Push on the link below of info it is a Yahoo site so you will need to join but that is free and painless. If you have your rig together that would be great but if not come anyway.

Hi Lowell
After about 5 years of non-renewal our registrar drops your name from the active data base so I can't help you find your number. But he keeps all the old records so if you want to renew your membership just check the renewal box and send in the application. He will do his best to reinstate your number.
Good luck with the bike revival too!

Lowell--I have good news for you;. After some digging I found old membership!!! Your number is #77. It esxpired Jan 1 1990. It would that you joined right at or about the beginning.

In the last 17 years the dues have increased a little. If you would sent a check for $25.00 renewal fee, I will reactivate your membership with your original #77. Make the check out to USCA and send to:
USCA
130 S Michigan
Villa Park, IL 60181

Let me join the others in welcoming you back to the USCA.

Hope I preaching to the choir but just in case. Remember that when things sit for awhile the rubber goes fast and that if you don't just replace all of it at the outstart you'll have a chain of rubber part failures that will be terribly upsetting. Welcome back and have fun. FWIW

Yes, Mark,
I intend to replace all the rubber parts, including the tires, which I hope are still available. They are 15" steel belt raidial tires, that were used on VW autos. The tread dosn't show any wear, but I would not trust them.
