Howdy howdy.
I've started doing some "learning and practice" rides before jumping in and purchasing.....what fun!!! Any how, I am playing with a Ural right now and frankly I enjoy it's quirks, if I don't try to micro manage it she seems to be a fun ride, not too sure I would user her as my commuter though. Back to my question....I was surprised at the amount of effort to make tight turns, are all units this heavy feeling? I guess I was expecting more of a 4 wheeler weight to the turning. My husband is strongly pushing to a G1200 and then get a DMC hack added, but since there is no one in my area where I can try one out I don't really want to commit that kind of money if it handles like the Ural. (Yes Jay I know you build super high quality hacks.....have ideas on what we want....)
So I guess what I'm asking is: Are all units super heavy turning at low speeds? Do they all have that "floaty" feeling on certain kinds of bumps?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Katie

Hi Katie,

Right turns require more effort on all hack outfits - some more than others.

Where are you located? There possibly is someone in your area with a 1200 rig!

Be safe,
Keith

In general Ural does not reduce trail on the front of the bike as much as they could so they tend to steer a bit heavier then they could. We have lots of customers more or less in your area, Many post over at advrider.com if you wanted to put a post there looking for some one to let you ride their rig. Or you could come out here and take our demo bike out for a day long test ride.
I have attached photo's of our two demo bikes (both for sale)
