I bought the bike turned left.It turned right into the fence. Minor damage to the bike, old fence not so good.

Hey, that's not quite the pic we were looking fwd to. Here's hoping the damage to the rig was cosmetic only. Driving a rig ain't like riding a 2-wheel bike, hunh? Jena & I both recommend a S/TEP course - we've completed 'em twice now. Smile

I agree and will be looking for one to take as soon as the bruises heal.

Why yes why do you ask:) I am being a Smart . I have a lot to learn when the bruises let me get back on it. I think I might just trailer it to a big, did I say big, empty parking lot next time. Dr says nothing broken, but things will hurt for a while.

The reason I ask is many I mean MANY years ago my first experience was on an old Harley Servicar 3 wheeler I was looking to buy. I went out the drive way and drove right through the neighbors bushes. It did not stop or hurt me but I was sure embarrassed. Sure wish I had bought it, as it would be worth at least 10 times what the asking price back then.

Yes it defiantly takes a lot of getting use to and I am still getting use to my rig. I am glade you are not hurt badly.

Been there, done that:
13th december 1986> first day three times straight into the pasture (including one out of the widdow maker bend), next day whacked off a road side plock with the front lower mounting fist and my right knee.
Before I left for Norway on 25th december I passed through lots of forest trails and and played hours on parking lots accourding to the lessons>

On the way back from Bergen one morning at -28`C made a 3/4 salto mortale in the left ditch (1m snow) because the spikes lost grip... I cannot understand why... Didn't I monkey enough ?
😉 😉 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
It was great fun.

Those were the days.

Ross, don't worry about the scratches every new vehicle is too sterile until it gets a few usage marks.
On all vehiles I owned. I always had been way too alerted while they were spotless, worrying something might go bad. Once the first scares appeared the consciency became calmer again.

By the way these scars are a good anti theft insurance.
(Summer 1984) in Copenhagen the BMW beside my fully loaded CB650 lost front and back wheel while we went for lunch. When we came back the BMW was resting on bricks ,while all my luggage and unlocked chargo boxes were untouched.

2 cent of a guy who got asked quite often if he had a rats complex.
Cannot understand why? The CB650 rode only 2 1/2 years with menninge primer and without polish after I whacked out of the ground a water Hydrant in 1983. (the night we did disolve our engagement, ...outch)(sawn from years distance: What a bummer I was, to get engaged at 19)

I am happy to say I have had my hack on for about two months about 1,000 miles and the only thing I have hit really just touched is anther motorcycle in my shop. I will say I have come very close to curbs and things but not run over them YET! LOL

Well thanks for all the advice at least I know I am not alone. I think the sidecar is not set up correctly. I contacted Richard the local USCA person and he recomended a shop that can check the set up. I talked to them and hopefully get the rig to them soon to check out. I still have a pulled shoulder muscle that happened after the fence altercation. Thanks agin for the moral support.

If you lived near Macon, GA I would help you for free. I learned a lot getting mine adjusted properly. But now it is smooth sailing.
