New rig is here now with pics

Yesterday my Brother arrived with my new sidecar in the back of his truck, New to me anyway. We spent an hour or so looking at it and then he reminded me I helped him take it off his bike. Oh crap. That was 2-3 years ago. So we had some instructions on how to set it up, toe in and lean, and two old memories, so we spent the day hooking it up. I am grateful that I am a machinist. The front two mounts went on like they were meant to but the rear two we fabricated. I apologize for no pictures as we were both whupped by the time we finished up last night, the instructions were correct in that it takes patience and two people with experience with tools, we're both long-time gearheads, but the beasty is near ready for a try out today. Just need to hookup and bleed the brakes and then tie in the electrics. I need to do a bit of research on here as to the best tire to run as my back tire needs replaced and I'm going to put a car tire on there. Then as each tire gets worn I'll replace them with car tires. BYW - It's a Spaulding sidecar hooking up to a 1987 Harley big twin. Be well and have a superb day - Steve

Nice looking rig there Steve. Throw your guitar and dog in that rig and come on up to Libby, Montana sometime. I also do some pickin'. Two of my favorite pastimes, sidecars and music.

I was just enjoying the pictures again and noticed the low mount steering damper. That's interesting. Only ones I've seen before are mounted up top from frame to forks.

I have a Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 with a Hannigan Astro GT sidecar, set up by Hannigan. My steering damper is mounted low in the same fashion as was done here.

The stabilizer will work where it is on that setup . Hannigan has done that for years.
