Love (ed) my 12 Yamal but saw and rode a 2014 Gearup and well...you know that feeling. Huge improvement with the EFI and disc brakes all around. Just starting riding it and will let anyone know who is interested in it. I can say that the throttle response is impressive due to the EFI. The steering damper is hydraulic and much smoother than the previous twist knob. Gone are the choke control and carbs but the new rig seems to take more cranking to start up, even when hot.
Braking due to the above is much better and very smooth. I have not had the rig up to the promised 70+ MPH as I want to break it in proper but that will be tested in the future. MPG is supposed to be better but that has never been a big concern but I am sure it is with EFI.
I am told by my passenger that the seat is far more comfy in the 14 and I like the fact that the seat removes easily to drop my gear in for commuting.
The FIRST thing that caught my eye on this bike is the all black versus the orange of the Yamal. It is a wicked looking bike and I traded the Yamal oar for a standard Ural shovel.

Once I run it more, I will be glad to talk about here.

Bought at Ural of New England. Great dealership!
