California Sidecar quit making sidecars?
I went over to to California Sidecar's web site to take a look at their sidecars and noticed that when you go to the sidecar pages There is a "PRODUCTION TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE" banner".

I knew they seemed to be leaning toward trikes, but I kind of liked the Companion GT model of Sidecar. Does anyone have an idea on what is going on.
When I was involved with Lehman Trikes it was common knowledge that a dealer or manufacturer could sell fifty trikes to one sidecar; this was in 2008. I was recently talking to the owner at Cherokee Trikes possibly the largest trike dealership in the world and was told that they had sold one sidecar a year for the last three or four years while selling over fifty trikes a year at the same time. So I'm speculating that the sales numbers have been steady even with the economy where it's at. Dan the owner said that " 90% or the trikes are sold to retired people with some form of disability and they want to continue riding. He takes in sidecar rigs at times on trade and sets on them for a year in some cases. So for California Sidecars to manufacture sidecars might be a thorn in their side and the real money is made building trikes even though as their name implies they started with sidecars.
