New Aussie Member
Hi, finally decided to join the USCA mainly because e don't really have a active association here in Australia. I live in New South Wales ( NSW ) north west region ( mostly grain farming, sheep & cattle ). I'm still a learner, only been riding 47 years and about five with a sidecar. Longest trip with the chair was to Western Australia, down to the bottom corner and back, about 10,000km all up in three weeks.
I ride with (and am treasurer) CMA Australia ( NSW branch ) and we hold our National Run in a different state each year. This year was Tasmania, mad crazy riding state just south of the mainland. Nothing but corners ! Lots of fun solo but hard work on a outfit !
I ride a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 Classic LT with a DJP ( Australian built ) chair. Ha d the chair on a Suzuki Volusia 800 when we went to West Australia but she lacked a little power when pushing the howling winds across the Nullabour Plains. So we decided to upgrade a few cc's and ended up with the Vulcan, a little more that I was looking for but came at the right price and she has more than enough power to pull the chair and a trailer.
If I can figure out how to I'll post a pic or two.

PS I don't want to alarm you guys but I did notice that you all seem to have attched your chairs to the wrong side of the bikes 😉
Welcome to the Club Richard!
Actually I have had contact with about 4 people from down under in the last couple of days so maybe a start of a nice group there. You do understand that there is a right side to mount your chair and a wrong side 🙂 .
Welcome! Australia has long been #1 on my list of "must visit" countries, some day I hope to make it down there. BTW, it seems like your pictures got reversed when you posted them... might want to check your photo editing program settings. 😉

Nice looking outfit!

Welcome
Kimbo,
I thought maybe you had flipped the negative. A set of raked trees or LLs will make those corners easier to handle. If you get your modified trees here be sure to tell the vendor that you have a "leftie" so they will be cambered right.
Welcome aboard,
Lonnie
Raked triple trees are a bit of a sore point at the moment ! I ordered them back in August, still waiting ! Perhaps time moves a lot slower over there. :o:-(
Great looking rig, Kimbo. Not only do we mount our rigs on the wrong side, we ride on the wrong side of the road!!! 8^)
HHmmmmm if that's the case, then that long line of bikers going down the hill are actually reversing UP the hill !? 😮

Thanks for the welcome folks.
I have 3 mates close by who also own outfits. A 1500 Goldwing/DJP, a Urinal ( oops ) Ural, and C109/Dusting. I'll round up so pics when I get a chance.
I have a cobber in S. Australia who is in the process of putting an old BSA Bantam with sidecar back together. It has been an interesting project to see the beginning, I went over for about three weeks, and to see how it is going now. And yes you have a lovely rig!!
Be well,
Steve
