i wonder how important the new president is ,in real terms i realise it has an historic significance but i think no mater who you vote for you get the government. over here in the uk it's big news but i can't see why, as we dont have a vote. my view is go ride your bike before someone you did'nt vote for tels you it's against the law

I agree with you. Although I don't share his party affiliation, I wish him well. I can't imagine anyone being able to live up to this "Second Coming" annointment our press is bestowing on him.

The feet haven't gotten wet yet. This lad is still a virgin.

Let's see what the first 100 days bring.

We'll know then if he can still walk on water.

He's in for a big surprise. All of the campaign promises have a tendency to get lost in the fray once a new president discovers what being the president is really like.

Okay okay I thought you all we referring to the president who matters...Joyce Canfield....a duh for me. She has already proved to be a change we can believe in.

Hello

the theme tune that he has adopted is the same as the english national anthem unless i am mistaken.

Yeah, the US borrowed the tune of your "God save the King" anthem a long time ago for the "My Country 'tis of thee" song. It would have made a better National anthem than the somewhat odd and obscure lyrics of our current one.
Maybe Obama can change that too.

Mike, So long as you continue expressing the same views I share, I will just have to continue to agree with you.

As for the new President, I will watch and wait. Actions always speak louder than words. We'll see.

There is no way Obama can be worse than the last one! What a doofus he was.

President Bush's actions helped to keep us safe after 9-11. I won't comment on President Obama. It remains to be seen what he may do.

Who knows, within four to eight years, you may be calling him a "doofus".

I fear, however, that if we continue this conversation it will probably get out of hand. I suggest you visit some of the blogs to find people who may more readily agree with you.

Searching out people who share my view isnt my thang. I go my own way, hence the sidecar thang!

Good point. I agree completely. I'm not a group rider, nor a group thinker.

Hang in there.

Whoever is in charge better not take away my right to own a sidecar and/or drink beer (or they're gonna be in BIG trouble!).
