Hi Guys, I got my rig running pretty good other than some carb work and installing the bushing i got from dmc. I went for a two hour ride the other day and it was great. The rig is a little underpowered but not too bad. Anyway here's a pic of it cleaned up.

Hi Clem
I got your call and was meaning to get back to you then I got tied up with other stuff and forgot all about it till now. I'm hoping to ride up to palmer for the day if I can get the carbs working a little better. Right now it's running pretty good but I have no low end torque, which can get a little hairy on long hills. I'm going to try some seafoam for now but I plan on tearing down a spare set of carbs over the winter for it. I'm going to get out Sunday and see how it does on the freeway too, if She does good on the freeway than I think the palmer run is a go in my book.
Paul, I'm sure we could meet up somewhere and ride. You should definatly come down to the vanilla bean some Sunday, the place is like a revolving bike show on Sunday mornings.

Sorry blind guess.. I opened my eyes and it looks like a 750 Kawa old style
For my experience I might suggest:
Try to open the screws for idle mixture a little., check the underpresure diafragmas/pistons, the gas booster pumps (normally 1 diafragma pump hooked to the gas wire and gas distributed by tubes => distribution clogs often or diafragm broken) and sincronyze the carbs.

Check the spark plugs if you can see differences that might indicate false air intake because of worn flaps or broken rubber joints.
In my Jawa toy the idle mixture needle nearly double open then standard gives me torque down into the cellar and upper revs don't bother me.
2 Cent worth.
Sven

Paul

Paul, we got a late start by 2 hrs because my buddy had an emergency at home then I made it to palmer when I had a wire on my main fuse link go. We traced the problem and was able to install a new inline fuse holder but by then it was already too late to bother going. We had a great ride though. I replaced some cables on my bike today and changed out a leaky petcock. I hope to get a little riding in tomorrow morning if the weather is good.
